"BETWEEN MEMORY AND HOPE"
Rev. Lyn Burton
The new year begins with January, named after Janus, the Roman god of gates and doors, beginnings and endings. Janus is represented with a double-faced head, each looking in opposite directions. January invites us into the intersection of sacred time and sacred space, reviewing the past and imagining the future. Will we let the sacred encounter us?

This is Lyn's third visit this year from St. Paul as she serves our congregation in a variety of ways. She is a native North Dakotan, a graduate of the University of North Dakota, and a former reporter for the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead. She has worked in housing and urban development in Chicago and Minneapolis. In addition to being a UU consulting minister for the Prairie Star District, she is the executive director of a non-profit organization serving the affordable housing industry in the metro area.
