Neumann, a former ND Supreme Court Justice, will present an overview on how justice is being served in North Dakota. Bill graduated from UND and Stanford Law School. He is currently the Executive director of the ND State Bar Association and is involved with the Joint Alternative Dispute Resolutions Committee.

UU singer, song-writer, Joseph DeMasi returns with more of his unique takes on such topics as gay marriage, interpersonal relationships and living green. Join us for a Sunday filled with humor and insight.
DeMasi's folk music has shared the stage in his native New York and around the country. His children's music recordings have received the Parent's Choice Good Seal of Excellence award. DeMasi lives in Valley City and is a member of the Fargo Moorhead UU Church.

The new year begins with January, named after Janus, the Roman god of gates and doors, beginnings and endings. Janus is represented with a double-faced head, each looking in opposite directions. January invites us into the intersection of sacred time and sacred space, reviewing the past and imagining the future. Will we let the sacred encounter us?

For the past year and a half, Charlie Moore has lived in Antigua, Guatemala, where he works with the God's Child Project. He will share what he has learned and what he does to help children caught in human trafficking. Moore grew up in Bismarck and in our UU Fellowship. He graduated from UND in 2007, with a degree in Communications.

Bobbie Crane is a sophomore at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and Pi graduated from BSC and is now a senior at North Dakota State University in Fargo.

Ronya will discuss the visions and philosophy of tribal colleges, how they began, and their effect on Native American society. Ronya has been involved in tribal colleges since the fall of 1995, first as a student and now as she continues to take classes and is a Career Counselor at Sitting Bull College at Fort Yates on Standing Rock Reservation.

Valerie Naylor lives in Medora and has been a devout Unitarian for over 25 years. She has helped to establish UU fellowships in Alpine, Texas, Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and Dickinson, North Dakota. She has presented many times on a variety of spiritual topics at the fellowships in Alpine, Scottsbluff, Dickinson, and Bismarck.
