Description

Every tradition has stories that shape and sustain. In the Unitarian Universalist tradition, our stories have not been gathered into one distinct text, so telling our stories aloud becomes a must for collective memory. Why do we light a chalice? What is the origin of our seven principles? What is a fellowship compared to a church? Were we the first to ordain women - or not? Our path is not only wide; it is also long. Come enjoy the stories that shape who we are - and who we may yet be.

Karen Van Fossan graduated from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in 2015, and has been serving as the minister for the Bismarck Mandan UU congregation since August 2015. She is a foster mom, pastoral counselor, writer, and social justice advocate.
